During the spring of 2008, Peace Fence organizers joined with the Art Wing at Briscoe School to involve Ashland's school children in creating panels for the 2008 Peace Fence. Over the course of two weeks, more than 170 children came to the Art Wing with their teachers and volunteers to paint peace panels. The children came from kindergarten and grammar school, middle school and Ashland High School. They created beautiful works. Also featured on this page are works from other young people from Ashland (Southern Oregon University and Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Church) and from around the country.

Added to the fence on August 8, 2007, this panel is the creation of Bobby, age 6, with help from his mom. "Acceptance, Patience, Understanding, Respect...Peace begins with a smile," and "to Heather L, If simplicity is beauty, simplify. Exemplify positive change. Create a world worthy of our children. Live, love, laugh, share, care." Bobby also felt inspired to sign the guest book, below.
